About this course

This course is for skiers of all levels before, during and after ski season. I have created this to help your body deal with the specific strains of the slopes and staying healthy and fit.

It contains 10 unique classes with different focuses: Balance, mobility, strength, stretching, myofacial release and recovery. All classes are between 15 and 30 minutes long and can be done from home, making it an easy addition to your exercise regime. The classes does not need to be done in order, instead pick and choose what you need on any particular date.

I recommend getting a yoga block (preferable cork), a non-slip yoga mat and a peanut ball or therapy ball, but classes can be done without.

Enjoy!

How this course came about

I first started skied when I was about 9 years old. My family took a few ski-trips in the Alps. When I was 13, I had a bad fall and tweaked my knee. Being very focused on horse riding, I decided that was the end of my skiing era. Fast forward 30-something years, I met my now life-partner who is an incredible skier. He slowly but surely lured me back on the slopes. As a movement teacher, I made several important observations: Firstly, coming back to the slopes was surprisingly easy; not just because it's a little like riding a bike, but because of my balance skills, mobility and body awareness. My body did not feel sore or tired, despite me not having skied for decades.

Secondly, I started noticing all the injuries and sore bodies around me; people who had skied for years, suffering with torn ACLs and sore hips, knees and backs.

Eventually, my partner, who after having practiced with me for a year and felt the difference in his body, suggested I create this course, and here we are!
